Valentine’s day is the perfect time to loathe your life if you are single – by choice or by chance! You can enjoy the whole day smothering yourself in self-pity, or even better, the whole Valentine week when there is a slew of couples around you are koochi-kooing each other and showering their partners with roses and chocolates and what not! And that isn’t just a personal affair anymore, right? Because it must go up on Facebook and Instagram with #ValentinesDay #LoveForever #TillEternity.
You know what? I’m gonna do just that this year. Put up pictures of me and my love affair with food with #MyHeart and #SoMuchLove
Also, you couples, what you cribbin bout having to spend time and money pleasing your partner and succumbing to expectations and shit like that?! 😛 Try coming to the other side of the world where you have to hoax friends into buying you some chocolate so you can feel happy about receiving a gift, even if it was forced 😛
If you haven’t figured this out already, this post is not for the lucky people who have dates out there, it is for the unlucky ones, who fortunately or unfortunately don’t have a date this Valentine’s day. You may try to make yourself feel better by telling yourself or even your friends that V day is just another day. It’s all just a foreign concept and that you can celebrate love every single day of your life. Well, maybe, but fact is, you don’t have anybody to celebrate this one day with, forget your life! 😛
Welcome to Life and mid-life crisis.
Okay guys, we are sorry, our point wasn’t to make you feel bad about yourselves. We are in the same boat, believe it or not! Point is- lover or no lover, let’s just celebrate the day anyhooo! Ofcourse you aren’t going to celebrate the fact that you have doting parents or caring friends or a job in hand today. That would be too pathetic. But go ahead, celebrate yourself! Celebrate the fact that you’re single and maybe ready to mingle, or maybe not, but whatever the case is – you’re dealing with it just fine. In fact, you’re kicking ass! You’re a Boss Lady! And you men out there reading this, you’re probably just single because hey, SAKHT Launda!! You gotta do what you gotta do 😀 😀
So, you’re all just doing great! Go take a cue from Margarita with a straw, drive in to a restaurant or just sit back home, sip onto some wine, put on some music and your dancing shoes and celebrate! Go hang out with friends, do some Netflix marathon, indulge in a good spa, bake yourself some cupcakes. Just don’t let this day be dull. Buy yourself a nice dress, or pretty shoes, or a good book you’ve been wanting to read for a bit, or wait, all of those! We are always on the lookout for excuses to celebrate and party, right? Then make the most of this 😊
Enough talk for a post!
Let’s look at the looks Shivani and I put together for Valentine’s day, because we decided not to sit and sulk but enjoy the day to the fullest. That means starting the day right, which is by dressing up right! 😀
While I chose to go flirty chic with my outfit, trying daring combinations like a crisp white formal shirt and a traditional pink broacde skirt, Shivani chose to take the sophisticated route. she picked an ultra sexy Marsala suit and a white sheer shirt with ruffle detailing at the collar.
Hope you guys like our looks for V-Day! We look forward to hearing from you about your love day. Let us know in comments 🙂
